Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Salina Public Library is an organization of volunteer members dedicated to providing visible support for Salina Public Library by raising and donating funds to the library, initiating and sponsoring activities and events, and providing volunteers for library activities.

|TEEN VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS
Quinton Burger is a senior at Sacred Heart High School, he plans to attend Kansas State Polytechnic in the fall. His goal is to receive his technical prerequisites then transfer to Kansas State University, where he will focus on Pre-pharmacy and Medicine. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he hopes to further his studies by obtaining a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Quinton has volunteered in the Library for five years with several years as Media Organizer. $2,000.00
Karady Taylor attends Salina South High School, and she plans to attend Kansas State Polytechnic in the fall. At this time, she is undecided but is considering the fields of family and child social worker, psychologist, early childhood development, or even becoming an attorney. Karady has volunteered more than 60 hours at the Library. $1,000.00

|Some volunteer activities for the Friends Members are hosting at special library or Friends event, bring goodies to special events, assisting with organizing the FSPL book sale items, lending a hand with the book sale, assisting with ticket and book sales for the spring poetry series, helping with receptions and book sales for visiting authors.
