Smart Kids Storytime

Storytime is a great way to spend time with your children!

Children ages 2 years to school age can enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays, puppet shows and so much more. They can make new friends, spend time with old friends and have a lot of fun!

Storytime is in the Prescott Meeting Room in the lower level of the library. No registration required.

Brainy Babies Storytime  (up to age 2)

Wednesdays and Saturdays: 9:30 a.m.

Brainy Babies Storytime is a storytime designed especially for parents and their babies (up to 2 years).

Brainy Babies encourages and stimulates the relationship between parent, or caregiver, and child through finger plays, songs, books and activities. Learn helpful 6 by 6 early literacy tips to help give your child a head start.

These storytimes also provide an opportunity for new parents to share ideas and experiences with other parents who have children the same age and engage children in early literacy.  It also gives the little ones the chance to learn some social skills by interacting with other children.

Growing up in Salina, I loved laying in one of the old bathtubs in the childrens section, a stack of books on the ground beside me.
