I’ve run across a few good things on the Internet recently and thought I would take time to share.

1. This Buzzfeed list had me doubled-over, laughing hysterically. Even if you are a fantasy fan, like me, you have to admit that these book covers left you wondering, “What were they thinking?” http://www.buzzfeed.com/expresident/fantasy-novels-that-are-good-despite-their-covers

2. If you need a little inspiration or need your faith in humanity restored, this video is perfect for a pick-me-up:

You can find out more about it on the Where the Hell is Matt? website: http://www.wherethehellismatt.com/

3. Because every parent has at some point wonder “Am I doing this right?” and “Is this normal?”, it’s good to have some reliable sources of information. Try http://salinaparents.org. They have research-backed information on young children, as well as information about local resources and activities for Salinans.

4. No list is complete without a library plug. For our Adult Summer Reading Program, we create a book list each week based on the summer’s theme. This year’s theme is “Groundbreaking Reads.” You can find the lists at the library and we also pin them to a Pinterest board: http://pinterest.com/salinapl/groundbreaking-reads-hot-summer-books/. Look for updates throughout the summer!
