Do you have a crazy, hectic schedule? If so, use Google Calendar! The calendar can send you reminders, it allows you to create multiple calendars for everyone in your family and you can access your calendar on any smart device via the app.
I started using Google Calendar to it’s fullest potential with my family. My children each have their own calendar and are responsible to check it each day. The calendar is shared with them, and they view it on the smartphone with the Google Calendar app.
I also have a meals calendar for my family. On each day of the week, I put into the meals calendar when and what we are eating! Whomever gets home first, can start making dinner because they can see it on the calendar. If the meal is tricky and not plain old spaghetti, I have the ingredients and steps for the preparation within the description of that calendar event.
If you are an exercise buff you could have a fitness calendar. If you have a band that needs to practice, create a shared calendar so everyone can see when you are getting together.
Anything you put in your Google Calendar, can be set up to repeat so you don’t have to enter things more than once. If one of my kids has practice every Tuesday from 7-9 p.m., I just enter that once in the calendar and use the repeat option within the event details.
If there is a meal that every just loooooooves, I can set it up to repeat once a month!
The best part of Google Calendar, is that you can have it send you reminders. You can get one reminder or multiples if you need it. Those kind nudges can be an SMS text message, an email or just a pop-up.
