It’s Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week!

Although we love to read to preschoolers (and children of all ages) all the time, this week the whole state is putting special emphasis on reading to preschoolers. You can read more about it here.

During our regular story time schedule at the library, we’ll have some guest readers (this Dog's Colorful Dayblogger included) visit and read “Dog’s Colorful Day” by Emma Dodd.

Developing early literacy skills is as simple as talking to your young children (even babies), reading with them, rhyming and pointing our words and letters. For more early literacy tips, go here.

Story time at the library can be a part of your child’s routine. The Library Adventure put together a great list of the reasons you should bring your child to story time.

We hope to see you at story time!
