Isn’t it time for a little more pep in your step?

I know that I need to do something.  I may or may not have definitely maybe overindulged on the Christmas cookie front.  (Hint: I did)

Great thing about wanting to kick-start your diet and workout plan is that Salina Public Library has you totally covered. You can access healthy recipes, puh-lenty of workout and health literature, and even workout DVDs… for FREE!

Amen to that, man.

In spirit of my own personal New Year’s diet and workout resolutions, I’ve put together a little display right by the Information Desk.

Isn’t it inspiring?

I think so.

My personal New Year’s diet choice is Atkins (because who doesn’t love diet + bacon = success?!?!), kettlebell workouts, and a LOT of walking.

By, the way, I’ve had success with Atkins before.  Buh-bye 27 pounds of the past!

This Jillian Michaels Kettlebell DVD is my personal FAVORITE.  Ms. Michaels is a workout bully, but she’s darn effective.

The display is currently packed, but it was nearly empty when I arrived at the library this morning.

Yay!

I’ll build it…

… and you can come in, scope out the territory, select one or maybe four items, and go home with a little more pep in your step.

And guess what?!  When the weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful, YOU CAN STILL WALK!

No, really.  Check out this woman’s brilliance:

Leslie Sansone knows what’s up. And the good news? Salina Public Library owns a pretty rad selection of Leslie’s workout DVDs.

You can check out as many of these puppies as you’d like. I have an arsenal of more items waiting in the wings.

See?

So, let’s say you’ve checked out a diet book, a cookbook, and a workout DVD.

Still want more?

Or, is hands-on activity more your style?

Never fear!

We STILL have you covered!!!

If you haven’t yet, you should absolutely sign up for a CLASS fitness class.  This semester’s catalog was just released, and we’re offering a ton of options!

For example:

But don’t take my word for it.  Sign up today!

And don’t forget to swing by the Information Desk to take your next steps toward improved health and wellness.

As always, if we don’t have it checked in, we can place it on hold for you!

Here’s to a happier and healthier 2014!

Me included.
