Salina Public Library is a fundamental part of our community. We offer a wide variety of services, resources and opportunities to learn for all.
Looking back on 2023, Library staff have worked diligently to provide the services that help our community thrive. As a community hub, we enjoy serving all ages 0-100.
Here are a few examples of how your Library serves the community. The Library provides:
- meeting rooms and spaces for any type of work or leisure. Rooms are provided via reservation online or in person with technology and internet access available for all.
- a variety of materials, of which, almost 500,000 were checked out by cardholders in 2023! Patrons check out physical books, digital materials, hotspots for internet access, 3D pens and so much more. Go to our catalog and see all the items available that can help one learn, grow and create!
- numerous events for all ages including Spanish storytime, online author talks, yoga, dance storytime, book buddies, LEGO club, Minecraft, crochet, game night, coin collecting, home buyers and much, much more. Take a look at our online events calendar to join us!
If you are a numbers person, like me ;-), here are some amazing 2023 statistics from your Library.

If you are busy, don’t forget you can place items on hold to just quickly pop in and pick up. Consider signing up for our Triple Feature Movie Night option and have some great movies selected for you along with fun snacks! For your convenience, the Library has digital platforms where you can watch movies, read ebooks and listen to audiobooks from the comfort of your own home.
To our patrons and our community, thank you for your support! We will continue to be the place where all can come together and feel supported, energized and empowered to learn.
