Little Libraries


A Little Library is a free “take a book, leave a book” exchange stocked with donated and discarded library materials. Book donations are welcome anytime during regular library hours.

  • Sunset Park – 700 W. Sunset Dr.
  • Salina Area Technical College – 2562 Centennial Rd.
  • Centennial Park – 746 Comanche Ave.
  • Hawley Park – 500 Charles St.
  • Salina Regional Airport – 3237 Arnold Ave.

Little Library Builders

The Little Libraries were originally made possible through a memorial contribution honoring John Black. The following woodworkers and artists generously donated their time and talents to build and decorate the libraries:

Adopt a Little Library

Individuals, organizations, clubs, or other groups are encouraged to adopt a Little Library to stock it and care for it for one year. If interested in adopting a Little Library, fill out our volunteer application.
