Legacy gifts or planned gifts, are charitable gifts made as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning. These contributions can include bequests, stock, retirement plans, life insurance, annuities, real estate, and more.

Legacy gifts must be given through SPL’s fund with the Greater Salina Community Foundation. These gifts(unless otherwise requested) are placed in an endowment account where they are grown through investment. Our organization can only withdraw a very limited amount from this fund each year, so we do not receive your full gift upon distribution, your gift is used to build future impact. To give to current needs or make an immediate impact we advise you to give directly to SPL through our secure online donation portal

To give a legacy gift or establish your own endowment funds, visit with your attorney, accountant, or financial planner and reach out to the Greater Salina Community Foundation to complete this gift.
