Sept. 11, 2018 – Salina Public Library is seeking applications from artists to display their original work for four-week exhibit in Gallery 708. Spots are available beginning Oct. 19 through the end of 2019.
Gallery 708 provides space in the library’s south entrance for artists to showcase two-dimensional work. An artist’s reception will be held for exhibiting artists during First Friday Night Live, a Salina Arts & Humanities led evening that highlights arts events throughout the community. Artists are allowed to sell their work, though sold pieces must remain for the duration of the show. Artists keep 100 percent of proceeds.
Artists interested in applying should fill out an application form and provide a website or digital images of work samples for review. Applications from artists not selected for a show will be kept on file for future consideration. Applications can be found on the Artists & Authors page www.salinapubliclibrary.org under the Programs & Services tab or at the library’s Information Services Desk.
For more information, contact Lori Berezovsky, Information Services Outreach Librarian, at (785) 825-4624, ext. 249, or by email at infoservices.lori@salpublib.org.
