Technology at Home
Use your library card to check out a hotspot or Roku player and get free access to shows, movies, and more! Each item can be checked out with a maximum of one checkout per device. To allow everyone access, Library procedure requires the device to be returned before a hold can be placed. Lending period for all devices is 7 days and should be returned to a staff member at the Circulation Desk. Do not place items in the book drop!
Hotspot
Checkout a hotspot to take the internet anywhere you go! This device will connect to most Wi-Fi enabled devices within approximately 30 feet. Hotspots rely on Mobile broadband service providing 4G coverage.
- If late, fines are $3 per day.
- If lost, there is a $75 replacement cost.
- Overdue hotspots will be turned off and unable to connect to service.
Roku Player
Have all your streaming needs in one place! Checkout a Roku device and enjoy free access to streaming platforms like Hoopla, Kanopy, and more. An internet connection is required.
- If late, fines are $1 per day.
- If lost, there is a $30 replacement cost.
- Overdue Roku players will be turned off.
- No accounts, content or settings should be downloaded, altered, or deleted from the device.
Roku – Hotspot Bundle
Looking to stream your favorite shows, movies, and more, but don’t have internet access? Check out a Roku-Hotspot Bundle! Library procedure requires that neither a Roku player nor a hotspot be checked out individually to place a bundle on hold.
- If late, fines are $4 per day.
- If lost, there is a $105 replacement cost.
- Overdue hotspots will be turned off and unable to connect to service.
- Overdue Roku players will be turned off.
- No accounts, content or settings should be downloaded, altered, or deleted from the device.

Consider checking out a Chromebook to use anywhere within the library! A Chromebook can be checked out from the Technology Center or Youth Services for 4 hours. These items are first come, first served.
- If late, fines are $5 per hour.
- If lost, there is a $400 replacement cost.
- Library card must be in good standing with a photo on file.
- Anyone 10 and under must be accompanied by a guardian and have a guarantor on their library account.
- Devices should not be left unattended.
- Chromebooks must be returned to the desk they were checked out from.
